Project description

Cove — A Sculpted Sanctuary by the Water

Tucked along the waterfront of Sydney’s Inner West, Cove is a six-bedroom residence that seamlessly merges architecture with the natural landscape. Inspired by the sculptural sandstone formations of Sydney Harbour, the home appears carved from the land itself—its flowing, light-filled interiors offering both refuge and openness.

Angular balconies echo the rhythms of the shoreline, framing vistas toward a sheltered harbour cove. A warm material palette of sandstone, timber, and marble roots the home firmly in its environment, evoking a sense of timeless coastal luxury.

Designed as both a private retreat and a space for connection, Cove features expansive indoor-outdoor living zones, an infinity-edge pool, and a private boathouse at the water’s edge. Skylights usher natural light deep into the home, while passive design strategies—alongside solar power and rainwater harvesting systems—maximise environmental performance.

Cove reimagines waterfront living as a dialogue between solidity and flow, between shelter and transparency. It is a refined yet relaxed sanctuary—responsive to its surroundings and attuned to the evolving needs of modern life.
